Spring is an excellent time to visit San Diego. Its temperature is pleasant and mild, and the coast is a beautiful scenery to look at. If that’s not enough, the flowers across the famous Balboa Park are simply breathtaking.

You should never miss the chance to experience Spring in San Diego. Especially during this time, you can avoid the tourists that usually crowd the area in Summer.

Visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields- March-May

Spring means having the flowers bloom again, now that the winter cold is bidding goodbye. In San Diego, spring means that the 50-acre field of Carlsbad Flower will finally be refilled with plants of all different hues.

Visit the fields and see the giant ranunculus flowers bloom and color the fields like crayons. Other attractions like the rose garden, poinsettia greenhouse, and many more, are also available.

Go to the Spring Busker Festival- March 2-3

This year, the only Busker Festival in Southern California will be hosted by the San Diego’s Seaport Village. Professionals across the country will be in town to perform their most bizarre and amazing talents. Watch them swallow swords, juggle in unicycles, do acrobatic stunts, and a whole lot more! This is definitely one of the amazing things to do in Spring while you’re in San Diego.

Join the annual San Diego’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration- March 17

At 10:30 in the morning, this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade will start on Fifth Avenue at Laurel Street. With the theme “Celebrating Our Irish Roots”, the event will be joined by thousands of marchers and spectators.

After the parade, there will be things to do at the Irish Festival at Balboa Park. This is definitely a festival you won’t want to miss out this spring in San Diego.
